M+ is an art museum located in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong. It exhibits twentieth and twenty-first century art encompassing visual art, design and architecture, and moving image. It opened on 12 November 2021.

The name “M+” signifies a museum that goes beyond traditional boundaries—a “museum plus” concept. It’s not just about art; it’s about design, architecture, moving image, and Hong Kong’s visual culture.

​KEY FEATURES

Situated in the West Kowloon Cultural District, facing Victoria Harbour, the building resembles an upside-down “T” with a massive LED facade that displays digital artworks. The program Includes 33 galleries, 3 cinemas, a rooftop garden, and interactive spaces like the M+ Playscape. Above, a tower houses public restaurants, lounges and gardens along with offices and research facilities. Of the structure's total 65,000 m2, plans call to reserve 17,200 m2 for exhibitions.
