T2 - GUANGZHOU BAIYUN AIRPORT

GZB-0.avif

Terminal 2 is the third phase of the Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport master plan, completing the allocated area of the central terminal complex.

Terminal 2 provides a total of 92 gates, doubling the previous number of contact gates and terminal area. It incorporates state-of-the-art passenger systems and amenities, such as self-check in kiosks with automated baggage drops. The north face features 10 swing gates that can be used for domestic passengers, international passengers, or a mix of both. As the hub for China Southern Airlines, Terminal 2 serves as an exclusive home base for the carrier.

The addition of Terminal 2 brings the capacity of Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport complex to 80–85 million passengers per year, making it the busiest airport in the world in 2021 and 2022. Terminal 2 handles 60% of that record-breaking traffic
