Airbus Training Center

A training centre for Airbus was to be constructed in a still to be defined location in the Philippines.

The Airbus company had a standard building design suggested for the facility that was completely without character.

Our team was asked to jazz it up a bit. The building envelope concept is a an DM2 design of slick, streamlined, aerodynamic architecture.

He felt there was something missing though so I suggested to use a wing shaped canopy that DM2 incorporated in the design in a more elegant way than I had imagined.

My role in this project was to resolve the building layout according to the list of areas and create a BIM model to update the area list and derive the construction documents from it.

The program of this building contains three flight simulators, classrooms, reception, cafe area and numerous supporting facilities.
