Helipad Hangar / Headquarter Option for GFS
Hung Hom -Hong Kong
Hung Hom is one of the location alternatives for the headquarters of the government flying service of Hong Kong (GFS)
This option is the most suitable in terms of lay out considering the narrow site dimensions
My role in this project was to create a site plan for the GFS Forward Base that would be able to accomodate three helicopters and comply with ICAO Standards for heliport design such as taxiway clearances for rotor diameter, safety zones, fire safety and rescue facilities and emergency response planning and access routes. I was then to create an architecture concept for the hangar and produce a BIM model of the building from which its renderings, plans, sections and details would be extracted.
I made this model using Rhino and VisualARQ, a BIM software for Rhinoceros that adds architectural features and parametric architectural objects that are suitable for both 3D modeling and 2D documentation.
Rendered with Lumion and finished with Photoshop.
