Grand Canal Shoppes is a retail concession of luxury products at the Venetian Casino in Macau. It showcases leading luxury brands in fashion, jewelry and watches. The owner, DFS, hired designers to develop a retail environment for the area.

I cooperated with a team of four designers to produce the plans, reflected ceiling plans, elevations and details necessary for construction and to ensure all stores and common areas were in compliance to IBC (international building code) and Macau building regulations.

I worked as a project architect at the final stages of the project and besides the statutory submissions drawings and regular site inspections to check for defects and compliance I created complex fire safety drawings to ensure egress routes were compliant with fire safety regulations during the different phases of construction.
